Type of inquest
An explanation of some of the terms you might see under the type of inquest heading in the tables:
- Opening: formal opening of the inquest
- Review: a case review without a court hearing
- Pre inquest review: a case management hearing
- Open and Completion: the inquest will be opened and concluded on the same day
- Final: inquest hearing will take place
- Inquest in writing: an inquest without a court hearing
- Treasure: inquest into treasure that has been found
